Starting JRW Consulting - A Blog from Jaelyn Wratchford

I’ve always strived for continual growth and improvement, not perfection. The entire Miss America Opportunity is an opportunity for development for the women competing and for their communities. Unfortunately, within the organization, especially in West Virginia, we lack volunteers and mentors for the women competing. Our candidates are so passionate about investing in their communities, but who’s investing in them?

As Miss West Virginia 2021, I filled this need with virtual titleholder workshops for the class of women competing to be my successor, educating on topics like mental health, platform development, and social media management. Recognizing the impact the Forever Miss West Virginia’s had on me, I really aimed to be a mentor to the women within the organization as I transitioned into a Forever.

Sharing our knowledge and experience is how we build a community of women that truly uplifts each other. I want to be involved in these women’s journeys because I believe in their potential. I’m confident in their abilities to realize their dreams, and now I’m prepared to support their journeys with a holistic and individualized approach.

At its core, JRW Consulting is built to establish confidence in its clients, so they can further their story. That’s the difference between coaching and consulting. Clients are meant to maintain their ownership over their journey, not be structured replicas of coaches. Consulting is all about lending advice and skills while ensuring all decisions are made confidently by clients.

The main package I am currently offering encompasses three stages of work: brand strategy & development, interview preparation, and on-stage presentation. My services are available to girls and women of all ages competing at all levels in any pageant—so that includes just about everyone! No matter what stage you’re preparing for, whether that’s a local fair pageant or Miss America, we will use competitive differentiation and strategic communication to develop and market your personalized story while building the skills to effectively deliver it to any audience. If you need help drafting your paperwork, preparing for the interview room or stage, choosing your wardrobe, or anything else as you prepare to compete, I’m here to help!

When I initially launched JRW Consulting, I didn’t imagine the reach it could have, and now I already have clients in 3 different states. I’m so excited to see how JRW Consulting will grow! A Survey for MAO Titleholders - From Olivia Andrews

What’s the buzz? Lots of changes have come and gone within the MAO! Olivia Andrews has created an independent survey to see just how her sister queens are responding and adapting to said changes. Want to help? Please take part in the following anonymous titleholder survey if you competed in 2020+ or send it to a titleholder friend!

This survey has not been issued by the Miss America Organization. This survey was created by a titleholder for individual, independent research purposes. This survey is anonymous and names/emails will not be collected. Current and former titleholders from 2020 on are welcome to fill out the survey, as it includes questions about the new fitness portion of competition.
